Delhi-NCR Rain: The havoc of torrential rain in North India is not stopping. Continuous rain in the entire NCR including Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurugram has disrupted life. Waterlogging on roads and long traffic jams have become common. Meanwhile, school holidays have been announced in many districts.
In view of the weather department's alert, orders were given to keep schools closed in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Noida and Ghaziabad on September 3. However, schools remained open in Delhi and no new advisory has been issued there so far. At the same time, orders have been given to close schools in some NCR cities like Shamli and Baghpat.

The situation in Himachal Pradesh remains serious due to rain. Due to continuous rain, landslides and falling of trees, the government has decided to keep all schools and colleges across the state closed till September 7. The Higher Education Department has issued a notice in this regard, which Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has also shared on his Twitter account earlier.
The Chandigarh administration has also taken a big decision and ordered all government and private schools to remain closed till September 7. Earlier the schools were closed till September 3, but in view of the rainy situation, the holiday has been extended. The administration says that the safety of students and staff is a priority.
As directed by Hon’ble CM Punjab Sh. Bhagwant Singh Mann Ji, in view of the flood situation, all Govt/Aided/Recognized & Private Schools, Colleges, Universities & Polytechnics across Punjab will remain closed till 7th Sept 2025.

The situation in Punjab has become very worrying due to floods and continuous rain. On the instructions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, all schools, colleges, universities and polytechnic institutes in the state have been closed till September 7. Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains informed on X that everyone should follow the instructions of the local administration.
